Fiji is an island nation in Oceania, in the South Pacific Ocean. Known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and extensive coral reefs, it is a popular tourist destination and the self-proclaimed “soft coral capital of the world”

Fiji is an archipelago of more than 330 islands and over 500 islets, many of which were formed by volcanic activity. The islands have plenty of volcanic mountains, and lush rainforests. Only about 110 islands are permanently inhabited, with the majority of the population living on the two main islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

The capital city of Fiji is Suva, located on the largest island, Viti Levu.

HOW TO SPEND A WEEK IN FIJI

Fiji is one of the world’s most beautiful and stunning destinations.

For a one-week trip to Fiji, it is best to focus on one or two island groups to avoid spending too much time traveling. Most international flights arrive at Nadi on the main island of Viti Levu, so many visitors use this as a base for day trips or a few initial nights. However, for the iconic white-sand beaches and turquoise water, you’ll want to head out to the smaller islands.

The dry season, from April to November, is considered the best time to visit for sunny weather and minimal rain.
